I found Harrison on the table the other day, I knew it was too quiet. Apparently he is big enough to climb onto the table and get his own cereal. Silly boy!
We went to Lake Powell over Memorial weekend and this kiddo loved every second. Thursday when we got there we found a great camping spot and had the greatest weather. Thursday night it started raining and Friday morning it was still raining. All of our stuff got wet and the rain just wouldn't quit, so we decided to come home. Bummer, we always look forward to Lake Powell over Memorial, it's like the official start of summer for our family. We were sad but at least while we were there we had fun. We couldn't keep Harrison out of the water, and when he was out of the water he was covered in sand. I am so happy that he loves the water because we are definitely water lovers in our family!

Harrison had his first trip to the zoo, and I don't think he really cared as much about the animals as he did their toys in their cages. He kept yelling "ball, ball" at the elephants and we kept saying "No, those are elephants" (he can totally say elephant too) I was kind of confused until I looked around and saw a huge red ball in their cage. The only animal that he really wanted to see, the hippo, doesn't live at the Hogle Zoo. It was pretty fun and man did he love the Popsicles they sell there!
This is our new thing...the potty chair. Thanks Molly, Harrison really loves his "football" chair. Nick is determined that if we can just "plant the seed" of potty training Harrison will pick it up faster. I know I know he is way too little to start potty training, and he totally doesn't get it, but he loves to sit on the potty with his chair. I can't blame Nick, I am getting a little tired of changing diapers too.

A New Endeavor

Nick and I are trying our luck with square foot gardening this year. For two years we have tried to plant a garden in the "garden spot" that existed when we bought our house. Whoever decided to dig up the corner of the yard that gets no sun and no water was not the brightest fellow. Not only is there no sun and not enough water, we have a horse sized pooch who just loved to dig up (and eat) the plants (watermelon and onions were her favorites). Needless to say, nothing grew except weeds of course. Then we saw all these families in our neighborhood doing these square foot gardens and getting massive amounts of stuff out of them and we decided to give it a try. The dog I fear may still be a problem so we had to put chicken wire over the tops of the boxes. Hopefully by the time things are growing and we take it off she will get the idea!
Harrison has loved being outside and getting dirty while we have been building these boxes. He especially loves a wheelbarrow ride!

In order for us to get any work done we have to chain up the dog, and he loves that too! Macy is usually too busy playing fetch (or digging in our gardens) to pay much attention to Harrison. When we chain her up she has no choice but to play with him and he loves it. The other day I looked over and he was feeding her rocks! Of course she tried to eat them, because she tries to eat everything.

I promise he looks cute and clean in the morning. By the afternoon....well, I guess this picture explains it. Hair all messy, shirt stained....they can't look picture perfect all the time.

This is his new thing. He loves to climb into the entertainment center and get out the movies. I have notice that "Austin Powers" and "The Office" are his two favorites to get into. He is EXACTLY like Nick. I think if our house was burning and someone told Nick that he could take all our important documents and two movies these would be the movies he would save (and he'd somehow find a way to sneak Seinfeld out too).
