Halloween

We had a wonderful Halloween! Neither Nick or I wanted to stay home and pass out candy because we didn't want to miss Harrison and Avery trick-or-treating, so we left a bowl of candy on the porch. It was well worth it. The kids had so much fun. Harrison was sprinting from house to house he was so excited. If the people answered their door and were silly enough to put the bowl down in front of him, he would just start loading his pumpkin up by the handfuls. I kept saying just one buddy just one. How can you expect a kid who LOVES candy to just take one when you put down a huge bowl of candy in front of him? Then my favorite part, he'd jump off the porch and yell, "Thank you, trick-or-treat, Happy Halloween!" He was in heaven.

One house we went to was giving out popcorn and Harrison grabbed one and said, "POPCORN? I don't need popcorn!" Oh I was a little embarrassed, we are still working on just saying thanks whether you like it or not.

My sweet little ladybug made it to a couple houses and then gave up and just rode in the stroller the rest of the time. She can say trick-or-treat now, it comes out more like "tick teet" but it's so cute!

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
Breakfast with a Witch was super fun (I guess). At the time it was a little rough. Thank goodness my mom was there to help me wrangle these two. It was fun now looking back on it. The kids had fun and had yummy food.

Carving pumpkins

Black Island Farms

I love going to Black Island Farms.

We got to pick our own pumpkins, which Harrison took to mean, find the biggest pumpkin you can and pick that one!

Harrison learning to rope cattle! he he he! He's so cute. This year we attempted the corn maze and Harrison was all, "OK guys, follow me." We went in a little ways and then he turned around and started running back yelling, "I found a way out". He thought it was so cool that he found us a way out. It's a good thing we got out. He was running so fast ahead of us that we probably would have lost him in the corn!

Barnyard Boo

I am a sucker for Halloween activities. I love to take Harrison and Avery to do fun stuff like this. We went to the Barnyard Boo down at Thanksgiving point and it was super fun for the kids.
Of course we did a little face painting.
Avery practicing her hula hoop skills!
I don't know why, but I love this picture of her so I thought I would share it.
Harrison loved the animals.

I love this picture. We were waiting in line for the horses and he was making sure she didn't fall in the corral. So sweet.

October 15th

I love these pictures because they remind me of warmer days (right now it's about -20 degrees and I am praying for summer---I may be exaggerating a bit, but it's cold). I found a great recipe for sidewalk paint and the kids loved it.

Harrison was having so much fun I couldn't get him to look at the camera.

Summer posts are finally updated! Keep scrolling because there are lots of posts :)
Finally we got our family pictures done! I think they turned out pretty cute.

The kids really loved Lagoon. It was a super hot day and they were troopers and had a great time!

Cute Libby and Harrison were being such good buddies!
Harrison was finally tall enough to go on some of the bigger kid rides so we made him do the Dinosaur Drop and he hated it...I guess we will stick with Bulgy the Whale for a few more years.

We took a little camping trip with some friends in August. You will notice that there are not a lot of pictures of Harrison because he was not too happy most of the time, but we still had fun! Avery and Harrison loved riding the 4-wheelers and playing in the dirt.

Avery and I ready to go for a dusty ride.
Too much fun=sleepy baby.

We have done a ton of swimming with friends this summer. My kids love to swim and Harrison has been swimming so good without any floaties! I am so proud of him. He does really well. He looks a little bit like he's drowning but when you try to help him he says "leave me alone I am swimming." He's growing up so fast.

Sunscreen anyone???

These kids climb everywhere. Nick went downstairs and found Avery climbing up into the windowsill. They are crazy!

Twilight Concert Series. Wow...there are a lot of crazy people at Pioneer Park. Nick has a friend that invited us and we went, and it was fun, but not quite the family scene.

Harrison enjoyed dancing to the music.
Avery enjoyed just being out with daddy.
