Harrison do it!

That is the stage of life I am in....Harrison do it!. He wants to do everything from brushing his teeth to climbing into his car seat and buckling himself. If either of us tries to help we get told, "No, Harrison do it!" He wants the lids off his cups too which is a huge mess. Everything takes twice as long and usually results in him looking like this..... messy and sticky and stinky, but still always cute. The only thing he really wants me to do is, "ew, ew clean it up mommy!" So, I guess that's what I will do. This too shall pass right?

Fall cleanup

We have a ton of trees in our backyard, which means in the fall we have a million leaves to cleanup. It took us the entire day on Saturday, and at least 25 bags (I lost count).

The sad thing is that 3 days later, it looked like we hadn't done anything. I went out and mowed up an entire city garbage can and bagged 9 more bags. There are still a few more that need to drop but I think the worst is over.
I have decided I probably will never again go to the zoo in the summer. We went last week and the weather was perfect, the animals were out because it wasn't so hot, and we had so much fun. This baby elephant was so cute! Harrison loved watching it.The cute tigers. There were 3 babies. My mom was nice to come with us and Harrison loved having her there.

HALLOWEEN

Since the beginning of October we've been telling Harrison about Halloween and that he was going to be a lion. We'd ask him what he was going to be for Halloween and he'd say, "A lion, roar!" Well about a week ago I asked him what he was going to be for Halloween and he said, "a pumpkin mommy". I don't know where he got that from especially since all pumpkins are "stary" (scary). Needless to say he was a little disappointed about being a lion. We got him all dressed up and then I made the mistake of letting him look at himself in the mirror, he lost it and cried and cried. Our little cowardly lion. He looked so cute.

It took a few houses before he was able to brave all the scary pumpkins and walk to a door without crying. He warmed up to it once he figured out everyone was going to give him candy. He even said trick-or-treat a few times. It was so cute!
I can't believe how much he has grown up. It's like all the sudden you wake up and your baby is a big boy. It's sad, but it is so fun to watch him learn new things and develop their little personalities. I love him so much. It was a great Halloween.
